Outreach Ideas

    Here is a list of ideas, sources, etc. that might help you with 
coming up with your central outreach focus plan.  You don't have to 
raise money or collect anything.  You may take this opportunity to 
make people aware of a probem like the genocide in Sudan or the 
great need of the hurricane victims.

*www.amillionthanks.org An effort started by kids to get letters to soldiers and veterans
*www.americasupportsyou.mil/freedomwalk/kids.html Set up an event to honor and remember the victims of Sept. 11
*Give the Human Service Center a call to find out what the area's most important needs are.
*Catholic Charities is the Diocesan group that helps the needy in the area.
*Go to earthsource.org where you can get ideas on how to help the environment.
*Try redcross.org to see how you can help beyond our borders
*http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php Help children around the world at this site.
*http://www.thehungersite.com This site links to sites to safe the rainforest, help with literacy in the world, and save abused animals. Lots of ideas here!
*Try one.org(Bono's site) to aid in ending world hunger
*There are soldiers around the world-but especially in Iraq and Afghanistan-who could use letters or boxes of goodies. Contact redcross.org.
*Visit savedarfur.org to see what you can do to stop the genocide in the Sudan.
*Go to heifer.org to see how you can buy a poor family chickens or a pig.
