FRIDAY, JANUARY 8
I sent a January BOOK-IT calendar home in the family envelope.
The vacation chapter of your autobiography is due mid-February. Have
you corrected and printed your baby years chapter yet? Snow days are
wonderful opportunities to get some of this done!
Your January library book needs to be a biography. We made a trip
to our library for you to select one, or you may bring in one of your own. I
need to check it before you start. This is for our Living Museum in
February. Look over those directions please.
You may turn in your outreach focus plan to me at anytime. Please put
it in the top basket by the door. Congratulations to Katie, Erin, Aneliesa,
Taylor, Jesse, Ethan, Andy, Austin, Seth, Brooke, Dustin, and Caleb who have
already turned theirs in! They have really good ideas!
You are welcome to bring in a snack for the morning. After we get done
with our spelling, then you are free to enjoy it while we get drinks and go
to our lockers.
Don't forget to take your library book home each night. You should
try to read at least twenty minutes every evening.
Keep your newsletter till the end of the week it covers and then
recycle it. Do the same with the monthly calendar. Be sure to read
both. They are meant to help you!
Return the family envelope by Wednesday because I will need to
fill those by then.
Don't forget that if you are typing up something for English or
reading and your printer quits on you that you should e-mail to yourself.
Then we can print it out at school. Just let me know when you do this.
Remember to make your monthly donation to Vilma! If you would like
any of your donation or you would like to raise some extra money to send her
for her birthday, just let me know.
You can help the hungry in the world each day by going to
www.hungersite.com to help the hungry each day. There is a link to this
site on the links page.
Check out the links page here. I have added several new
English/grammar sites for those of you who might want more practice or some
help. There are also sites on feeding the hungry, getting your writing
published online, and insights into our current novel.
Please remember to pray for peace and all of the soldiers in the
Middle East, their families, and the innocent people in Iraq and the
surrounding countries. Try praying a decade of the rosary as you go to bed
each night. Prayer can be very powerful!
If you need to ask a question, you may e-mail me at
kristiefahey8@hotmail.com I try to check my e-mail often in the
evening if there is no problem with getting online. I am also on MSN
Messenger for instant answers to questions.
