Math Meeting
We will:
•	Say the days of the week

•	Identify the next number in a sequence
•	Identify missing numbers (1-10) on a hundred number chart
•	Count by 1’s to 100
•	Read and Extend an ABB color pattern
•	Recognize triangles	

Phonics
We will:
•	Recognize vowels and consonants
•	Practice saying the alphabet
•	Practice recognizing capital and lowercase letters
•	Practice recognizing letter recognition and letter sounds (Ll, Oo, 
Gg, Hh, Tt, Pp, Aa, Nn, Mm, Ii, and Ss)
•	Introduce the letter Ff and the sound /f/
•	Practice coding vowels in words
•	Introduce new words fan, fin, film, soft, flop, golf, lift, loft, 
sift, fist, flip, fast, flag, off, list, loss, hiss, hill, fill, and fog
•	Separate words in compound words
•	Unblend consonant sounds  
•	Introduce the new sight word – of
•	Review twin consonants and coding vowels in words that have twin 
consonants 
•	Introduce the fluency readers Sam’s Fast Fan, Tim’s Lost Fan, and A 
Lot of Fans 
•	Review the use of possessive apostrophe and bold print
•	Read independently, read in groups, and reading with teacher

•	Write money amounts to 10 cents
•	Order money amounts to 10 cents
•	Match sets of objects with numbers
•	Practice writing the number 5-8
•	Practice counting objects and matching with the numbers 5-8
	
Religion
We will:
•	Discover that Jesus was a child and did many things all children do
•	Read “ Jesus Played and Prayed Too”
•	Identify that Jesus is the Son of God
•	Describe the family of Jesus as the Holy Family
•	Demonstrate ways family members care for one another 
•	Celebrate that each of us is a child of God
•	Sing “ Families Help Each Other”	

Science
We will:
•	Discuss that the body has external parts – back, chin, hip, thumb, 
elbow, shoulder, etc.  
•	Discuss how we use those body 
parts                                                     

Art
We will:
•	Color a turkey pattern – wings, feet, feathers, and body – cut out 
and paste together 
•	Color pictures of pilgrims, Indians, and their homes – cut out and 
paste
•	Project with 4th grade buddies – thank you cards for teachers and 
staff 			

Social Studies 
We will:
•	Discuss Veteran’s Day – patriotic pride – we love our flag, our, 
eagle, and the liberty bell too – say thanks to a Veteran
