==> Reading (Miss DiNovo): Students will focus on the major milestones in
Susan La Flesche Picotte’s life. The historical figure presentations will be
next Wednesday and Thursday.
==> Reading (Mrs. Wolff): This week in Mrs. Wolff's class we will continue
reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, completing a study guide and
answering questions as we read. We will have a short quiz after every one or
two chapters.
==> Math: We will have the unit four test on Thursday. Please review with
your child throughout the week for the test.
==> Science: Students will begin an in-class ecosystem project this week.
Students will be working with partners to create a visual display of one of
the ecosystems we’ve studied. Next Thursday, there will be a test on the
ecosystems.
==> Social Studies (Mrs. Huntington): We will learn about the people of the
South and have a test over Ch. 5 on Wednesday. We will then begin to learn
about the Upper Southern region.
==> Language Arts: We will continue working on the Verbs Unit, focusing on
verb phrases and irregular verbs.
==> Spelling: Words ending in -ing from lesson fourteen will be studied.
==> Religion: Students will focus on the Advent season and discuss ways that
we can prepare for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.
