About The Teacher
I have been teaching at St.Joseph for over 18 years and truly enjoy sharing my love of books with children of all ages. I received my BS degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. Catch the spirit...READ!!!

Mission Label:


Mission
It is the primary goal of the library to provide materials that will meet the needs of the students at St. Joseph School (i.e. educational, informational, spiritual, cultural and recreational). One objective is to encourage students to read for enjoyment. The library is accessible to the students in a welcoming atmosphere and opportunities are provided for silent reading as well as storytelling. Another objective is to develop research skills using reference materials in an instructional atmosphere or in classroom related projects. One last objective is to help students develop goal-setting skills. Grades 4- 8 set personal Accelerated Reader goals for each quarter. Results are printed in TOPS reports after each AR test and quarterly reports sent to the parents.
