This Week's Homework

The Season of Advent began on the 29th of November. We have been talking
about Advent in class as a time of waiting and preparing for the arrival of
Jesus. A special homework project was sent home on Tuesday. Cut out the
tree and mount it on the purple paper. Each day decide together with your
child something special your family or your child could do for others or for
each other. Concentrate on that good deed and color, cut out, and add a
branch to the tree. By Christmas, your child can add the star to the top of
their tree. What a great way to prepare for Jesus' birth!

Thanksgiving projects were sent home on Tuesday...silhouettes (hand helded),
turkey stories, guess who stories, prayers, and more.

Please send in a baby picture by Friday, December 11th. It will be
returned. (Check your email for the explanation.)

We are working daily in our Advent Booklets. There will be a Religion grade
given upon completion. The book involves a lot of coloring. It will be H.W.
due on the first Friday we are back in January. Certain pages are required
to be done each day like writing about a trip we've taken, but the coloring
pages are done when daily work is completed. For some 256 Kids, that means
they're already behind. The books may be brought home nightly if you'd like
your child to complete more pages before Christmas vacation rolls around. The
books must returned daily, however.

H.W. for Friday, 12-4: Check out website with Mom and or Dad and talk
                        about your week in 256.

Read a Christmas book for your December book report.

Early Birds will be meeting in the Activity Center
