NEWS YOU CAN USE
Religious Education Advisory Board
The Religious Education Advisory Board is a volunteer opportunity for any parishioners that want to make a positive difference in the religious formation programs that St. Mary's offers to our Parish Families. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, we encourage you to contact any of the current REAB members.
Are you interested in the religious formation of children in our parish?
Do you want to make a difference in the life of our children?
For the past six years your Religious Education Advisory Board (REAB) has been surveying religious education families on their satisfaction with our R.E. programs. Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Family Catechesis, and Summer Intensive Classes are just a few of the great new programs that have come from your involvement and feedback into the Board’s 5-year strategic planning process.
Based on the survey conducted this past Spring, there are (3) initiatives we are forming groups to talk about and improve:
Family Activities – explore better ways to “focus on the family” in projects, activities and program participation (Dorota Wolpiuk and Vicki Palomo)
Age Appropriateness – explore ways to keep learning about faith exciting and enjoyable for students at all ages (Joe Delaney)
Communication & Technology – explore ways to improve various communications through better technology utilization (Michael Sarlitto).
REAB is currently forming teams to discuss/act on these topics.
Here’s a chance for you to get involved and make a difference!
Please call a Team Leader listed above (numbers are listed below) or call the Religious Education Office at 847-537-9423 ext. 23.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!

REAB meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in Room 105 from 7:00-8:30pm. They meet September through May.
In response to parent survey suggestions, REAB is looking for people to join the Age Appropriateness committee. If you are interested in expressing your opinion to assist the R.E. Advisory Board in evaluating age and class appropriate activities for the Religious Ed program, including classroom content and service projects, we need your help. This is a short-term commitment and you can contribute as much as you are able. If interested, please contact Joe Delaney at 847-431-1531.
