Grades 5-8 have been playing Eclipse Ball and will begin Volleyball soon.
Grades 2-4 have been playing lots of games involving rolling underhand,
throwing overhand, guarding, and aiming at targets. We have been using
frisbees, nerf balls, and bowling pins. I have been stressing teamwork and
cooperation, and they have been getting lots of activity and aerobic activity.
1st Grade has been learning how to change in the locker room. They are
getting better every time they come in for class. We continue to work on
following directions and listening with elephant ears. We have just learned
how to play Ghost Busters this week.
Grades 1-4 play lots of organized games and have lots of activity and fun.
When I tell them that they have just worked on eye-hand coordination, eye-
foot coordination, underhand/overhand throwing, they are surprised. Then I
add that they worked on an aerobic activity and exercised their heart and
lungs. They just love to move!
