Are we expected to take notes in class?

YES! All students in my class are expected to take notes. As we
go through
the material I may cue you as to what is important, however you
should
quickly get a "feel" for what should be written in your
notebook.

Do you offer extra credit?

YES! Every week there is a new question on the board for each
grade. If
answered correctly on an INDEX CARD, you will
receive 1 point toward your grade. These points add up, so I
strongly
encourage you try the extra credit questions. You can't lose!

Are the extra credit questions the only way to get extra credit?

No. I will explain in class about book and movie reviews you can
do
relating to the
era which we are studying.

Are we allowed to ask you what our grade is throughout the quarter?

Yes, however the best way to know your grade is by looking on
Edline. Try to stay aware of what your grade is.

Are we allowed to ask you for extra help?

ABSOLUTELY! PLEASE don't EVER be bashful about asking me for
help! That's
why I'm here!

What is your late homework policy?

Good question. I expect homework to be completed on the day it
is due. If
it comes in late, it should be shown to me.
Daily homework assignments such as packet pages are worth 5
points. If you forget your homework, you earn a zero for that
assignment. If you complete it and show me the work by the next
day, I will give you 1 point for the assignment. Other late
assignments will
go down one letter grade (or one point - depending on the worth
of the assignment) each day it is late. If there is a pattern of
late
assignments, there will be a memo on your Edline report, or I
will contact parents via email. The grade on Edline will reflect
the missing work and how it affects your grade.
