| With only a very little time left in the school year, we are frantically
trying to finish the most important events of each grade's curriculum.
Tha 6th grade is finishing their chapter on the Middle Ages and are working
on read-aloud plays about the Magna Carta and Joan of Arc. They will
briefly cover the Renaissance before the year's end.
The 7th grade is finishing the year with the Civil War and the understanding
of how it changed our country.
The 8th grade just finished their study of the Cold War and will finish
their last few classes with the War in Vietnam before they take their final
exam.
It has been a very busy year with tons of learning. I truly hope the middle
school students have a greater appreciation for history and the importance
of knowing what is happening in our world. Keep up with current events over
the summer, especially with the presidential election. We will pick it up
again in August with the conventions and the general election.
