Welcome Back! We are getting back into the swing of things. I was happy
to see that students had not forgotten too much over the break.
As you already know there has been a change in the way that students do
their spelling homework. They are to write a sentence for each word instead
of spelling them three times. However, I assume that they also know how to
spell the words. This assignment is now due on Wednesdays instead of
Tuesdays. Of course, you can have your child start them over the weekend
too since they are already posted on this website.
As for Math, I am sending out the math packet for chapter 6 today, and it
will be due next 1/15/10. I am also sending home a single sheet of math
homework which is to be completed and brought to school on Thursday. I am
trying to get students used to a gradual increase in homework, since second
graders have homework four times a week. This weekly homework assignment is
one that we will go over in class on Thursdays.
A project that will be displayed for Catholics Schools Week will also be
sent home this week so that your child can get started. It is due on the
29th.
Reminder: PLEASE SEND A SNACK FOR YOUR CHILD EVERYDAY.
