Welcome to my classroom!
This is my 5th year at St. Mary of Gostyn School and my 16th year of
teaching in the Diocese of Joliet. I have experience as both a 1st and 3rd
grade teacher so I come to you with strong Catholic Education experience and
a love for children!
I have completed 19 hours of graduate classes, most recently at Elmhurst
College. I have had the opportunity to work with other talented educators and
I often impliment some of their innovative strategies in my own classroom.
I have been married for 33 years! My husband is planning to retire at
the end of this school year after teaching 35 years in Physical Education at
LaGrange Highlands School. We are blessed with 2 sons (both attended Benet
Academy, Catholic Colleges and have received graduate degrees!), 2 wonderful
daughter-in-laws, AND one beautiful granddaughter, Josie Ann, who lives in
Dubuque, Iowa! Our second grandchild, a boy, is due on Jan. 24th! My younger
son and his wife live right here in Bridgeport / Chicago so we'll have the
opportunity to visit this little one more often!
We belong to St. Joseph Parish here in Downers Grove and we live exactly
2 miles from S.M.G.! I love living in the neighborhood and walking home from
school most days!
Third grade will be a year of growth and learning for your child!
