About The Teacher

                          Welcome to my classroom!   
     This is my 3rd year at St. Mary of Gostyn School and my 14th year of 
teaching in the Diocese of Joliet.  I have experience as both a 1st and 3rd 
Grade teacher so I come to you with a wealth of knowledge and a love for 
children!  
     I have recently completed 18 hours of Graduate classes at Elmhurst 
College.  These classes have encouraged me to impliment some interesting and 
innovative strategies in the classroom.  All will be a terrific learning 
opportunity for your child and also for myself!  
     I have been married for 32 years!  My husband is a Physical Education 
Teacher at LaGrange Highlands School.  We have 2 adult sons, (Benet Academy 
and Catholic College grads!) and 2 wonderful daughter-in-laws  ~  AND some 
grandcats and a granddog but.... 

WAIT, BIG NEWS, a grandchild on the way....!
We are praying for our first to arrive healthy and happy in November!  My son 
and his wife, married 4 years, are educators in Dubuque, Iowa, so we plan 
many visits (as usual) until the big day!  We appreciate your prayers for 
them!  
We belong to St. Joseph Parish here in Downers Grove and live exactly 2 miles 
from S.M.G.!    
     This year will be a year of growth and learning for your child!  
     Together, as a TEAM, we will make this a great school year!
