Every week there will be spelling homework. The children be writing their
spelling words 3 times each on paper provided. We will do a few words
together so you can see how to set up the paper. It will be due on
Wednesday. Students will also have math homework. Please look in their
planner for information. Every Friday the students will have
a spelling test and a reading test. The spelling words for this week are:
shop, shot, shut, rush, wish, fish, for, more, very, from.
Your child will bring home a book bag once a week for you to read with
him/her. Please return the next day with the paper enclosed.
The children will be tested on the reading vocabulary words from the story we
are currently on. The vocabulary words for the whole year are on my website
under "Reading Vocabulary". The stories for this week are: Fox and His Big
Wish/King Midas and His Gold.
Also, any work that is not finished in class will be sent home on Friday to
be completed for Monday.
