Every week there will be spelling homework. The children need to write
their spelling words 3 times each on paper provided. It will be due on
Wednesday. Students will also have math homework. Please look in their
planner for information. Every Friday the students will have a spelling
test and a reading test. The spelling words for this week are: sat, help,
map, the, pick, sack, did, too, yes, hot. These are review words.
Once a week your child will bring home a reading bag with a
book to read and questions to answer. Please help him/her with this
assignment. The bags and assignments are to be brought back finished the
next day. My aide will go over the story with them. The children will also
be tested on the reading vocabulary words from the story we are currently
on. The vocabulary words for the whole year are on my website
under "Reading Vocabulary". There will also be a sheet that comes home with
the first few vocabulary lists. There is no new story for this week. The
students will be doing review packets.
Also, any work that is not finished in class will be sent home on Friday to
be completed for Monday.
