| Every week there will be spelling homework. The children need to write
their spelling words in a sentence on paper provided. It will be due on
Wednesday. Students will also have math homework. Please look in their
planner for information. Every Friday the students will have a spelling
test and a reading test.The spelling words for this week are: boys, noise,
mouse, toy, sound, town. The challenge words are: people, father, should,
horse. I will be choosing 2 out of those 4 words to spell correctly. I
will also begin giving the students 1 dictation sentence that will count and
2 more challenge words that will not count against them. will
need to know how to spell the words and put correct capitalization and
punctuation THERE WILL BE NO SPELLING TEST THIS WEEK.
Once a week your child will bring home a plastic enevelope with a book to
read. Please help him/her with this assignment. The enevelopes and books are
due the next day. My aide will go over the story with them. THIS WILL BE NO
BOOKS THIS WEEK
The children will also be tested on the reading vocabulary words from the
story we are currently on. The vocabulary words are located on my website
under "Reading Vocabulary" There will also be a sheet that comes home with
the first few vocabulary lists. The story for this week is Youmg Amelia
Earhart.
Also,any in class work for the week that is not completed by Friday will be
sent home to be completed for Monday. Any work sent home to be completed
needs to be returned immediately.
