We'll be working this week on getting all sixth graders up and running on
their computers including the initialization for their flash drives. They
will then be ready for the other teachers to do their reports and PowerPoint
presentations.
We will start grammar next week and willl be going over
this material as slowly as the class needs, taking 2 days for each lesson so
that the children will learn the material. I am a big fan of understanding
and not of memorization for English grammar.
On Fridays until we get to the end of the grammar text, we will be doing
diagrmming. We will be learning on individual white boards with
supplementation with a computer program from Glencoe.
Again, for your information, any child is welcome in my room in
the mornings between 7:15 and 7:45 for extra help. If your child
wants to come in, please have them let me know they are coming so I can
arrange my time for them.
