1. Each month, the second graders are expected to memorize a school appropriate poem to recite
in class. The Poetry Recitation Day for November is Monday, the 24th. By the 10th of November,
please submit a copy of the chosen poem for review. The poem must be at least 7 lines long. Try
to find a poem that is unfamiliar to your child. They may not write their own poems at this
time. The theme for this month is an Thanksgiving or Autumn days.
2. Birthday treats are optional. You can choose to donate a book to the class library, bring in
a jigsaw puzzle, or pass a non-edible treat.
