Is my student allowed to work ahead in their spelling book?

Yes. If you know your student has a busy week ahead of them,
they are able to take their spelling book home for the weekend
and work on the next unit. Spelling pages are due Wednesdays
with tests being Thursdays or Fridays (depending on the Mass and
Youth Minister schedule for the week) so students are able to
work one unit ahead if needed.

How often are religion tests?

Religion units are very short and the students will be tested
weekly over the unit, usually on a Friday. However, the tests
are not going to be 100 points in value like a normal test.
These are more like quizzes over the chapter that are geared to
boost their grades along with worksheets and their current affair
grades.

What do you teach in Current Affairs?

Current Affairs is a class we have on Thursdays that gives the
student a chance to read and discuss what is going on in the
world today. It is a part of their Religion grade because our
discussions are usually centered on our Christian background.
The grades for that class consist of a 10 point weekly assignment
they finish in class. Participation is a must.

I check email several times a day. You can also call me at

May I bring a treat when I am Student of the Week/Birthday Week?

Yes, you may bring a treat one of those times. You need to
choose whether you want to bring something when it is your
birthday or when you are student of the week. Make sure you
bring napkins and that the item does not need to be cut and can
be passed out quickly. We will share these treats either during
break or at the end of the day.
