At this time in math the students are learning about place value and focusing
on the tens and ones place. We are also reviewing addition and subtraction
word problems. The students are reviewing strategies to understand the
difference between an addition and subtraction problem.
The second graders have begun preparation for the sacrament of
Reconciliation in religion class. The children have received special
Reconciliation books and are reading from them. Currently, we have been
discussing the importance of
making right choices.
The students have become wonderful spellers and continue to use their
everyday spelling knowledge when writing stories in class.
