In Religion this month, our class will be learning about the season of
Advent. We learn that Advent is a time of waiting and preparing for the
birthday of Jesus. We discover that the Baby Jesus is the most special baby
ever to be born and thank God for giving us Jesus. We learn that Mary is the
Mother of Jesus, the Son of God.
In Math, this month we will focus on the number five and continue to review
the numbers 1-5. We will learn about triangles and one-to-one correspondence.
In Phonics,our class will be working on the following letters J and K.
This month we will be working on the following themes: Advent, Kindness, and
Christmas.
On Tuesday, Dec.22, 2009, we will be having a small party. The children will
be making ice cream sundaes. If you would like you may bring a wrapped treat
for the class.
There has been a temporary change in our gym schedule for the month of
December. Our class will have gym on Tuesdays, Dec. 8, Dec. 15, and Dec.22.
Our gym classes will resume back on Monday, Jan 11, 2010. Thank you in
advance for your cooperation!
Just a reminder:Please have your child bring an extra pair of shoes to keep
at school. The snow will be here soon!
