What can my child bring for his/her birthday?
I love celebrating birthdays. To help us celebrate, your son or daughter is
welcome to bring a treat. However, I ask that you do not send cake and that
you try to send things that are individually wrapped.
What is the new tardy policy?
On your child's third (3rd) tardy, she or he will be given a detention.
When can my child use an "out of uniform" pass?
As I mention in the guidebook, students can use the pass on any day as long
as we do not have Mass or a field trip. Also, and very important, I would
like the students to check with me before using a pass in case something is
coming up that they may not know about.
How is Reading Counts graded?
Based on the number of points a student reads, a grade percentage will be
added to the Reading grade. For example, if a student reads and passes tests
to earn 50 points, a B will be added to the average of the Reading grade.
Here is a break down of the points/letters:
A+ --- 60 points and above
A --- 59 points to 55 points
B --- 54 points to 50 points
C --- 49 points to 45 points
D --- 44 points to 40 points
F --- 39 points and below
When should we replace school supplies?
I have found that supplies need to be filled between December and January.
Depending on how fast your student uses his or her materials, that will
decide when things need to be replaced.
