Miss Bey was born and raised in Normal, IL (124 miles south of Chicago). She
graduated from Illinois State University in 1999 with a bachelors in
Social Science Education and has begun working towards her Masters Degree.
She is endorsed in U.S. History, World History, Geography, Political Science
and Sociology. In the summer of 2008, Miss Bey was selected by Goethe Insitute
to participate in a Transatlantic Outreach Program. She went to Germany,
Austria and France to study globalization and environmental issues. This past
summer she was selected by the Gilder Lehrman Institute to travel to the
United Kingdom to study the Global Cold War at Cambridge University. Miss Bey
has been teaching at Steinmetz 10 years.
1) To develop a variety of academic skills that increase a student's
knowledge and understanding of the world that they live in.
2) To study contemporary issues facing the United States and the World.
3) Rigorously prepare students for ACT/PSAE Exam
