Will my child have daily homework in French class?

Yes.  Even if there is not a given assignment, students could always be 
studying new vocabulary or practicing pronunciation.

Will my child have difficulty learning French?

As long as he/she is participating in class, and spends at least 15 minutes a 
night looking over material or doing homework, he/she should have no problem 
receiving an "A."

Is there a problem if my child is absent often?

Yes.  In any foreign language class, it is important to be in attendance so 
that students can practice speaking.  Without this practice, students will 
have problems doing well in the class.
