IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PARENTS!!!

Be sure your child has this Rdg./Language Arts homework sheet in his/her Rdg. folder every day. Try  to listen to your child read ea. night, for at least 20 min. Ask questions about what was read to reinforce comprehension skills.

This week we are working on Lesson 29 in our Storytown books. Students should have 291 Vocab. cards on their ring.

Our focus skill for this week is “making predictions.” Remember making & checking predictions helps readers keep track of what is happening in a story.

In Grammar, we will be reviewing all of our punctuation & capitalization rules, such as how to capitalize titles of books, abbreviations & proper nouns and how to punctuate sentences, items in a series (using commas), abbreviations, etc. We will be reviewing contractions & homographs. Please look back at last week’s homework sheet for information on contractions & homographs.

All late assignments in Reading & Math are due by tomorrow-May 29.

Please return your child's signed 4th qtr. progress reports.
