In contact with the social worker, will it be in my child's file?
No, this will not be recorded or written in the student's regular education record. If the student is receiving social work services as a related service as part of an individual educational plan, those goals/objectives will be part of their special education record.Back to Top

There is no "official" form to sign, but if you are requesting social work services, it is best practice to speak with the social worker, directly, by telephone or in person.Back to Top

How often or for how long will the social worker meet with my child?
It can range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes once or twice a week for several weeks or longer in order to assist the student with their difficulty at school. The frequency and intensity of services is dependent on their need.Back to Top
