WAYS TO HELP FAMILIES IN NEED :
POP TABS    RMHC.jpg

Please save pop can tabs and bring them to school.  The PTO collects them and they are given to Ronald Mc Donald House Charities. "After the tabs are collected, the local RMHC Chapter brings the collection to local recycling centers, where they are weighted to determine their value (values can vary significantly).  The recycling center then sends the local RMHC Chapter a check for the total value." (Taken from the RMHC Pop Tab Collections  website.) This popular fundraiser benefits seriously ill children by helping provide a place for them and their families to stay while they are out of town for medical treatment.  These houses are conveniently located close to hospitals.  In June, the largest Ronald McDonald House opened in downtown Chicago.

Pop Tab Facts:poptab.jpg
  1 inch = 1 pop tab
  1 foot = 12 pop tabs
  1 pound = 1,267 pop tabs
  1 mile = 63,360 pop tabs
