How can grades be improved?

Weekly papers are brought home each Friday for your review. Any concept not
clearly understood should be practiced, and if a student is still unclear,
he/she should ask for help during recess. Students should be studying for
tests. Most of the time study guides will be provided.

How can I help my child do better in school?

In general, students who read daily and know addition, subtraction, and
multiplication facts do well in school. If your child is not doing well,
encourage your child to read more than 20 minutes daily, and help your child
memorize math facts. In addition, students will be required to study for
tests. Many students need help at this age to learn proper study habits. If
you have a specific concern, please contact me.

How can I reach you, and when?

You may call the classroom phone number (894-4265) or e-mail me
(pfogarty@esd20.org) for non-emergency messages. For messages you need your
child to receive the same day, please call the school office.

Can we have the class pets for a weekend?

Yes! You must provide transportation to and from school if the pets are going
to your home. A note from you indicating which weekend or holiday vacation
you'd like the pets is appreciated. (The first
child to bring a note will get the pet(s) for that weekend.)
