WB60

Hi Everyone,

Below, please read about the new fitness program, WB60, I am bringing to Waterbury.  It is important that we do things to lead a healthy lifestyle.  One way to start is by including exercise in our every day lives.  Parents, kids, teachers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, please get involved!

Purpose: To promote students to exercise/play actively for 60 minutes everyday.

How it works: Students will be given a point sheet every Monday.  It is their responsibility to keep this sheet.  They are trying to do 60 minutes of physical activity five days a week (if possible).  On their point sheet, they will mark the number of days they did 60 minutes of physical activity (they can earn one point a day).  The most points they can earn for the week is five (they may still hand it in if it is less than five).  On Friday, students will drop off their point sheet in their grade levels can. This will continue for the entire year.  Every month, I will be tracking each class’s points.  Whoever earns the most points by the end of the month will receive an extra physical education for first place, second place will earn lunch with me and third place will receive a Waterbury WOW as their class reward.
