About The Teacher
This school year is my fifth year teaching at Waterbury School. I achieved my undergraduate degree at Elmhurst College and my masters degree at National-Louis University. My wife is a second grade teacher at Greenbrook Elementary here in District 20. We have two children named William and Olivia, and a dog named Ryno. I love every minute that I spend with my children. I love going to William's soccer and t-ball games. I also love going to Olivia's dance classes. On my spare time, I am an avid golfer and golf weekly. I also enjoy running long distances,bike riding, and I play soccer every other weekend. An odd fact about me is that I have been on over 50 vacations to Disney World during my lifetime. To this day, I still go at least twice a year to Disney World. Fast Facts of Mr. Poulopoulos: Favorite Color: Blue Favorite Food: Sausage Pizza Favorite drink: Orange Juice (I go through tons of OJ every week), water Birthday: April 19 What I wanted to be when I was your age: baseball player, second base for the Cubs, like my childhood idol, Ryne Sandberg. When Mr. P. was your age he: collected baseball cards, played on baseball, basketball, and soccer teams, had a bowling birthday party-- I don't remember, but I bet that the cake was a cholocolate cake--my favorite, played the original Nintendo entertainment system for fun (Contra, Bases Loaded, and Punchout were my favorite games), loved to read Beverly Cleary books, loved math, and used to play football, kickball, and wall ball at recess, went to Disney World (my favorite ride was the Pirates of the Caribbean and Big Thunder Mountain). Favorite teams: Cubs, Bears, and Bulls Favorite video game: Any Madden football game If I weren't a teacher I would probably be: an accountant.
