About The Teacher

I earned my bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University.  I have 
taught every grade through grade ten. In 1970 I took a job at an alternative 
school, working with children that had difficulties with school.  I 
absolutely loved that job.  After the school closed three years later, I 
worked at another alternative school.  This school was for children with 
emotional and behavioral discorders. I decided to get my degree in Special 
Education. I earned my special education degree several years later. I 
received my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University.

I have worked in Keeneyville district since 1998.  This job has been 
extremely rewarding. I am currently working with third, fourth, and fifth 
grade students. Together we have built and excellent language arts program 
and enjoyed the Trailblazer curriculum.
 
I am married, and have three children. Mark and Melissa graduated from 
college and have careers in Chicago. Rebecca is attending Westwood College. 
My two dogs, Romeo and Peppi, keep me busy.
