Students in Room 209 generally have homework every day except Friday.  (Typically a spelling practice on Monday, Vocabulary practice on Tuesday, and Math on Wednesday.) We have our weekly spelling quiz on Friday.  Students who get 100% on the Monday spelling pretest are given a more challenging list of words and assignments for the week. Reading Logs are due each Monday. 

                                 

   

Week of December 7th to 11th                         

Spelling Words:  chip, chin, inch, such, catch, match, wish, shop, saw, were.

High Frequency Words: air, fly, friends, grew, need, play, rain, watch. 

Vocabulary Words:  astonishing, continue, doubt, transform, examine, devour. 

Reading Strategy:   Understanding story sequence.  

Reading Log: All students are expected to read at least 15 minutes outside of school each day.  This includes being read to as well as reading with or to an adult. Each week, students get a reading log on which to record books and minutes read throughout the week.  I collect these logs each Monday.
