Mrs. Fowler's classroom procedures: When you come into the classroom: 1. BEFORE the bell rings you are to be sitting in your seat with the following steps completed: A. Sharpened pencil or blue/black pen B. On Mondays - Agenda Planner (purchased at registration) to list daily assignments: On Mondays we fill in the entire week as a group and answer any questions about the week. If you were absent on a Monday make sure you check the Agenda Calender in the classroom or this website. C. Homework that is due is turned into your period folder. 2. Were you absent? Check the absent folder for the assignment you missed. The assignment will be in the period folder with your name on it. If you have any questions about the assignment see me after class. 3. We work BELL TO BELL! There is no time to waste in a science classroom. Immediately begin copying the notes, working on the journal topic, or following the directions on the overhead projector. 4. Complete all assignments on time. If you have been absent, you have two days to complete the work you missed. If you missed a lab it will not count against you. 5. NO PASSES for the restroom (emergencies only), locker, or drinks. 6. NO gum, food, candy, or drinks in the science lab. 7. Backpacks, jackets, hats, sunglasses, purses, Walkmans, mp3's, i pods, and cell phones (absolutely NO electronics!) are NOT allowed in the classroom. Electronics violations are referred to the principal. Grades: Your grade will be based on the following: 35% Tests / Projects 30% Laboratory work 20% Classwork 15% Science Notebook / Homework REMEMBER! There is nothing that hurts your overall grade more than a missing assignment. Standard grading scale: 90% and up A 80% and up B 70% and up C 60% and up D 59% and below F
