Mrs. Kirsten Fowler - 7 Gold PATS and General Science 2009-2010 Excellence Through Education Dear Parents and Guardians: Welcome to an exciting and wonderful year of "Way Cool Science!" My name is Kirsten Fowler and I am the 7 Gold Science teacher at Wilson Middle School. I am also the PATS (Program for Academically Talented Students) teacher for 7th grade Science. I graduated from Western Illinois University and hold a Masters of Science degree in Education. This is my sixth year teaching at WMS. I also teach Saturday Serendipity each March, and College For Kids at Black Hawk College in the summer. 7th grade Science is a General Science class. This means that students learn about Science from four different areas of Science: Nature of Science, Physical Science, Earth Science, and Life Science. 7th grade students take ISAT tests in March in Science, Math, and Reading. I also sponsor the "Way Cool Science Club" for both 7th and 8th graders.Students will need to listen to the bulletin that is read each morning in period one for instructions on how to sign up for the clubs. Please visit my website at: http://teacherweb.com/IL/WilsonMiddleSchool/Fowler/NewsFlash3.stm At the bottom of this web page is a button you can click on to sign up for the weekly "News Flashes" that I send out each week to keep everyone up to date on what is going on in our classroom.
