I have been teaching third grade for eight years at Woodland. I am
originally from New York but have lived all over the country. I now call
Gurnee my home as I lived here for the last 12 years. My husband and I have
three kids, which have all gone through Woodland schools. Daniel is 20yrs
old and a junior at U of I studying engineering. Rachel is 19 yrs old and
a sophmore studying business at Indiana University. Jeffrey is 14 and a
freshman at Warren High School. I enjoy spending time with my family and
friends. My hobbies and great loves include reading, music, movies, and
anything food related! :)
Prior to teaching, I was a clinical social worker for nearly ten years
and provided therapy to children, adults and families in a variety of
settings. Providing a safe, supportive environment for children remains my
goal even in the classroom.
My classroom theme is "TEAM", Together Everyone Achieves More. You are an
important member of our class "team". I value your input. Please feel free to
ask questions, express concerns and share ideas. I hope to work with you to
make this year a great success for your child.
