One Friday each month every student will have the opportunity to give a mini-speech (no more than a minute or so) in front of the class. A subject will be given, but you may be creative in the way it is presented to the class. We will emphasize speaking clearly and being a good listener. Students please ask your parents to help you prepare four things to tell about your assigned subject. Help our class learn new and interesting ideas. Include visual aids if you wish. Please do not read a report. If you would like, use note cards with important facts to give your speech. Nine opportunities to give a speech will be given throughout the year. You are allowed to pass once, or do all nine speeches. Friday, September 25th A Special Day - Tell about an awesome day you had this summer. It may have been far away or at home.
