What is a core value? A core value is a belief that is important in our lives, and we use each day to make good decisions. These are the important values that are focused on each month at Woodland Elementary East. September - PERSEVERANCE is always trying you best by getting organized, staying focused, and completing a task. Congratulations to September Core Value Kid Matthew Bassier! October - RESPECT is showing others that they are valued for who they are, for their character, not for what they look like or what they have. Congratulations to October Core Value Kid Valeria Arroyo! November - RESPONSIBILITY is doing what you are supposed to do, setting reasonable goals, and thinking ahead. Congratulations to November Core Value Kid Eduardo Aguilar! December - CARING is being kind, helpful, and generous to everyone. Congratulations to December Core Value Kid Rowena Parr! January - FAIRNESS is playing by the rules, taking turns, sharing, and listening. February - HONESTY is telling the truth, doing what is right, and not lying. March - TRUSTWORTHY is being honest, telling the truth, keeping promises, and being loyal so people can trust you. April - CITIZENSHIP is doing your share to help your family, and making your community a better place to live. May - LOYALTY is being faithful, willing to forgive mistakes, and stand by friends.
