The 2009-2010 year will be my fifth year teaching 4th grade at Woodland Intermediate. I have taught
in various other grades over the years. Most recently I was home with my children, returning for the
2008-2009 year. I am married to Joe Rejczyk, a PE teacher on the East side. This June I graduated with
a Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from National Louis. My undergraduate work, a Bachelor
of Science in Education, was completed at Western Illinois University in 1995. My hobbies include
watching my children play various sports, running, and reading.
It is my belief that every child has the inherent desire to learn. It is my job and goal to keep that desire
alive and burning! In order to achieve that I work:
• to continue to promote a positive self-image
• to foster a learning environment which focuses on cooperation and respect for one another
• to develop a love of learning
• to develop the use of skills and strategies necessary for life-long learning
Taking children from not knowing to knowing is a miracle I get to witness daily. I feel very lucky to be a
teacher.
