Welcome to 5th grade and our classroom's web page. I am very excited
about the new year and look forward to working with you and your child. My
hope is that this web page may serve as an added form of communication
between school and home. I hope that you find this web page easy to navigate
with useful information that may help both you and your child maintain a
successful and enjoyable school year.
There are several pages that will remain under constant construction. For
example, both the Language Arts and Social Studies pages will be altered
daily due to constantly changing assignments. These two pages will be used
primarily for long-term assignments and updates as to what is being learned
in both subject areas.
The Grades page will also be changing as the year goes on. This page will
allow you and your son/daughter access to his/her grades on the internet. I
will change the grades eight times during year, at mid-terms and at the end
of each quarter. In order to access the grades, you will be asked to enter a
pre-determined identification code. Once that code is chosen, access to your
son/daughter's grades will be totally confidential.
If you come across a page that appears confusing, have any suggestions or
comments, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. The email button on the
homepage will instantly connect you to a pre-addressed e-mail. I hope you
will be able to take a moment with your son/daughter to surf through the
site. It is my hope that this will become a wonderful resource in both our
classrooms and in your homes.
