Fall Drama
4-5th Boys and Girls   
Auditions:

Performance:

All students may audition for a part in the school play.  After auditions, students who are cast will participate in theater games and activities, rehearse lines, learn stage directions, and HAVE FUN!  All students earning a role will perform in two evening shows in November.  Additional opportunities may exist for students to have hands-on opportunities with stage crew responsibilities (i.e., lights, sound, sets)
 
Cross Country
4-5th Boys and Girls    Sept 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30    West Gym/Field   Pick-Up: West Parking Lot   
Students will participate in a variety of games and activities to improve their endurance and their ability to work as a team.  The last day of cross-country, teams will compete in a track meet doing the mile run.
 
Soccer
5th Grade Boys and Girls    Sept 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30    East Fields   Pick-Up: East Parking Lot   
Come play the game known around the world as "Futbol". Experience the fun of playing and working together on a team. Students will be divided into separate teams in order to play in a round-robin setting.
 
Basketball
4-5th Girls    Oct 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28    West Gym   Pick-Up: West Parking Lot   
Fourth and Fifth Grade Basketball will focus on the fundamentals of basketball (shooting, passing, dribbling and defense).  Each day the students will work on a different aspect of the game and then play games of 3 on 3 or 4 on 4.
 
Pico Crickets
Session 1

Pico-Crickets are tiny computers that can make things spin, light up, and play music. The Pico-Cricket Club is all about making artistic creations with lights, sound, music, and motion. Students may apply by submitting a Pico-Cricket Club form, which may allow students to be placed into one of three sessions. More info will follow after all applications are received. Basketball
5th Boys    Nov 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18    West Gym   Pick-Up: West Parking Lot   
Fifth Grade Basketball will focus on game play.  The students will be split up into teams and play 5 on 5.  The schedule will be a round robin type, with an end of the season tournament.
 
Harry Potter Club

Fourth and fifth grade students are invited to join the Harry Potter Club.  We will discuss all of the books and movies, sort into Houses, and have magical fun!
 
Volleyball

Participants will learn and practice basic volleyball skills.  General rules, game etiquette, teamwork, and sportsmanship will be stressed.  Participants will play organized games with teacher supervision.
 
Spring Musical

Performances:

Irish Dance
4-5th Boys and Girls    Apr 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28    East Gym   Pick-Up: East Parking Lot   
Fourth and fifth grade students are invited to learn how to Irish Dance.  Students will learn a basic jig, and then use those steps to create their own unique dance to perform for the parent show on the last day!
 
Softball
4-5th Boys and Girls    May 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18    West Fields   Pick-Up: West Parking Lot   
Softball intramurals is a time to have fun with other students and learn about teamwork.  The students work together on softball skills such as, throwing, hitting, and catching, and they will learn the rules of the game.  After warming up with fun drills the students participate in scrimmage games against each other.

Improv Club

Have you ever been accused of ACTING UP?   This is a class where you will learn acting games and get more comfortable in front of an audience.  Come join this acting class where you will be trained in many acting techniques and perform at the end of the class for parents and friends.


 
***Each of these events meets after school and requires a signed parent permission slip.  It will be the student’s responsibility to listen for announcements during the school day about when permission slips are available for each activity, and to obtain the appropriate information for the activity.  After school activities generally occur on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and an occasional Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30.  Students MUST be picked up in a timely fashion, and may be excluded from activities if they are picked up late.
