Welcome to Spanish class! We will be spending seven weeks together learning new vocabulary and reading short stories in Spanish.

Classroom Expectations

The word respetar means to respect in English. We respect our peers, our teacher, our school, and ourselves. Each letter gives you a classroom expectation that will help you be a respectful student.

R- Remain positive and always encourage others.

E- Excellence only! (follow directions, no sloppy work excuses, and stay on task!)

S- Stay in your own personal space and out of others.

P- Pay attention and participate!

E- Expect to be treated as you treat others.

T- Talk when the time is right and at the proper volume.

A- Arrive on time with all of your materials.

R- Remember that you are responsible for your actions.

*We will follow the rules for demerits and detentions as stated in the Parent/Student Handbook. (3 demerits=1 detention)

Grades

You will be graded using a point system. You will be graded on projects, quizzes, homework, and class participation.

Homework

Homework will be due the day after it is assigned. If turned in the next day, you will receive 50 percent credit. You will not receive any credit if it is turned in any day after that.

Absences
