Woodland Middle School Bands

We know we're a few days late on this, but we've FINALLY posted the 5 Finalists for our Best Website contest on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TeacherWebInc. You have from now until midnight next Wednesday, May 22nd, to vote on your favorite. The winner will receive a free year of TeacherWeb, and the 4 runners-up will get $15 Starbucks giftcards, so vote wisely! The Finalists' websites are posted in their own photo album on our Facebook page, so check those out first, visit the sites, click around, then come back and vote via our poll.

Thanks for your participation - we were amazed by all the entries and fantastic websites that we got to review, and if you didn't end up in the Top 5, know that it's because there are so many stellar educators out there using our products to reach their students and families that it was almost impossible for us to choose.

Extra performances are opportunities for students to see other bands in
concert.  Many of these are adult groups, community bands or college
ensembles.  Students can see that band life really can continue after junior
high and high school, and they can gain extra credit (or makeup) in the 
process.   Extra credit is given (one lesson worth) for a concert review
turned in with program and ticket during the school year.

If you participate in a performance organization that fits our 'extra' 
guidelines, please let us know!  We will be glad to list it here!

The Palatine Concert Band</b></h2> is a volunteer adult organization that Ms
Matusek plays bassoon in!  It provides an outlet for avocational musicians to
perform fine wind band literature, and serves the area and the community band
movement as a musical organization of high quality. While some of the members
are highly skilled, professionally active players, most are teachers, business
professionals or retired with one common aspect -- a love of learning and
performing the finer musical literature.

COME ENJOY OUR HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!  Friday evening, December 10, 2010 at 
7pm.
Traditional holiday music and a even a visit from a very special guest 
(HINT:  he wears red and white!)

The College of Lake County</h2> 
has a number of wonderful musical groups that put on concerts throughout the
school year.  These groups and their concert dates are listed below.  CLC
brings in guest soloists and conductors to work the groups.  All concerts are
held in the Mainstage Theatre of the James Lumber Center for the Performing
Arts, 19351 Washington St.
