I received my Undergraduate Degree from Northern Illinois University in
English and my Masters Degree in Education from Saint Xavier University. I
have been teaching in District 210 for 2 years and have taught freshman
through juniors. This gives me an edge because I am aware of the
expectations at each grade level.
Robert E. Probst says “Readers must analyze and think, producing their own
understanding, not simply remember information provided by a teacher or
textbook.” This is the foundation for my classroom. I believe my
relationship with the student is that of a guide. I'm there to point them
in the right direction;however, it is their job to find the destination.
