Students should bring their communication/take home folder, student planner, reading log (included in student planner) to and from school everyday. Please discuss the papers that are included in your child's folder. Have them explain what they needed to do in order to complete the assignment.
Please check out the tab, "Homework Calendars." It includes monthly activities that are designed to help you assist your child in practicing skills at home. They can even earn a dollar at the end of the month for completing it!
Under the "Everyday Math" tab, you can find a information on the lessons and/or unit we are currently on.
Our class will have P.E. on Wednesdays (Group A) and Thursdays (Group B) of every week. Please have your child prepared for P.E. by sending them with tennis shoes. Thank you!
March Character Trait - Acceptance: Acceptance means recognizing and showing appreciation for our differences. Rather than seeing our differences with others as something to criticize, we can see those differences as something to celebrate. The following books can be read to further the understanding of acceptance:
The Skin You Live in
by Michael Tyler
The Colors of Us
by Karen Katz
Whoever You Are
by Mem Fox
The Eagle Elementary Art Show will be held the evening of Thursday, May 16th 6:30-8pm. All students will have artwork on display as well as a portfolio of artwork to take home. Flyers regarding our KidsArt Fair Frames will be coming home soon. Last year with your support we raised enough money for every students at Eagle to make a clay project this year. Each student at Eagle is creating a mini canvas in art class for our service learning project. Please come to the cafeteria the night of our art show to help wrap a mini canvas and easel so they are ready for delivery to hospital patients and legislators supporting the arts. Volunteers are needed to label and frame artwork. Please contact Mrs. Lubbe if you are interested in helping.
Parents-If you are visiting Eagle, keep in mind that you will need to show picture identification to the Front Office.
