Dear Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful
summer break, filled with opportunities to learn and grow. On behalf of the FRA
Faculty and Community, it is truly my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt
welcome to you as we begin the 2011-12 school year at Forest Ridge Academy. To
those students and parents who are new to FRA we extend an especially warm
welcome. Thank you for the privilege of
partnering with you in the education of your children.
Our school continues to be
a leader amongst its sister schools and this year we will continue to build on
this success. We realize that teaching your child/children is a privilege, as
well as a tremendous responsibility. We will do our best to ensure that each
student has a productive and rewarding learning experience at Forest Ridge. Our
focus will be on providing each child with new challenges that will result in a
rewarding school experience. Our small classes are designed to motivate, to
engage and to support students of all ages. Learning is both active and
interactive, utilizing both traditional and innovative teaching styles. Our
goal is to stimulate and challenge our students, as they stretch their minds in
pursuit of knowledge.
While Forest Ridge Academy
offers a rigorous curriculum at every level, we are most proud of our
educators’ commitment to know your children deeply and their demonstrated
ability to help students fulfill their potential. We also understand that every
child develops in unique ways and that they need mentors, advisors, and support
in this process. Our students often cite the strong relationships they form
with their teachers as a distinguishing aspect of their FRA education.
Together, teachers,
students, and parents make a strong Forest Ridge Academy family. We appreciate
your support as your child enters the classroom and, learns and grows throughout
the year. Let’s all commit to a great school year, setting students up for
success. During the year I look forward to getting to know the new members of
our community better and connecting with returning community members. I
encourage families to get acquainted so that we can build new friendships and
support each other as the need arises.
I look forward to this
upcoming school year and can’t wait to see your children on the first day of
school.
With Great
Excitement,
Cindy J. Arnold
