Technology

          At Forest Ridge Academy we prepare our students to use technology as a tool by integrating our computer program into all of the subject areas. The lower school students develop keyboarding skills, wordprocess poems and stories, create reports with multimedia programs, are introduced to a spreadsheet program, and- with teacher guidance- use the internet for research. The upper school students (grades 5-8) participate in our laptop program, which provides a flexible learning environment. The students continue to broaden their knowledge of the computer tools and have them available for all of their classes. Students use the laptops to research, analyze, organize and communicate information effectively using a variety of programs.       

          Technology is extended into communication with our parents and the community. The website can be accessed for school news and information, calendars, and individual class assignments.
