Geography Bee
Mondays
Practice sessions for the National Geography Bee competition will begin on December 3. Students in grades 4th through 8th are eligible. A school Geography Bee will be held (TBA) and the overall school winner will be able to take a written qualifying test to try and qualify for the state competition. We will work together on geography content based on the school-level instruction book provided. State qualifiers compete in an oral competition at the state level, which is usually held in late March or early April (date and time TBA). State winners are invited to the National Geographic headquarters in late May to compete in the national finals for scholarships in the amount of $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000.
