My name is Jeremy Johnson, and I am the 5th grade and Middle School Science
teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. My education includes a BS in Biology
and a MS in Biology with a focus on Ecology from Purdue University. This is
my fourth year teaching at Forest Ridge Academy, and I am excited for another
exciting year ar FRA! Along with teaching at FRA for the last three years, my
instructional history includes teaching a wide variety of science courses at
the University level (at Purdue University Calumet and Indiana University
Northwest).
I am very excited for this upcoming school year, and look forward to meeting
all of my students and parents. This year, some students will have the
opportunity to participate in Science Olympiad, and everyone will enjoy a
variety of exciting educational activities throughout the school year. You

My mission for the 5th Grade science, Middle School science is to actively
engage in learning through a variety of methods including: lectures, labs,
field trips, guest speakers, and a variety of other hands-on activities.
