Hello, My name is Mrs. Stanford. I am celebrating my 10th year with Forest
Ridge Academy! My husband and I share three amazing children and two cats.
We are Crown Point residents and love to work with children.
This summer I attended a week long seminar learning about "Love and Logic".
I look forward to using this approach with my students, empowering them to
think more on problem solving, creating more time to learn sign.
In addition to teaching Sign Language, I have created the past 4 years of
yearbooks. You will often catch me snapping pictures during school events.
Welcome to the family we strive hard to create in our school and community.
My mission is to open our minds to the deaf and feel comfortable that they
may not be the ones with a disability. They have no problem communicating
with their hands. We often think talking verbally is a disabiity to the
deaf community, however if you asked them, it's vise versa.
