It only takes a small change. Instead of telling yourself you can't, tell
yourself you can! The President's Challenge is a program that encourages
all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives. No matter
what your activity and fitness level, the President's Challenge can help
motivate you to improve.
The Presidential Fitness Award is given to students who score in the 85% and
higher national level in the ALL of the following 5 categories of fitness:
One Mile Run - tests endurance
10 Meter Shuttle Run - tests speed and change of direction
Pull Ups and Push Ups - tests upper body strength
Timed Sit Ups - tests core strength and muscular endurance
Sit and Reach - measures flexibility
*The National Fitness Award is given to students who score in the 50% and
higher in ALL five categories of fitness.
